Campaign exceeds goal by $20 million

浩博体育app celebrated the culmination of the most ambitious 资本运动 in its 165-year 历史 by raising over $185 million to support student scholarships, capital improvements 和 Susquehanna’s endowment.

• $22.3 million to support 21 major capital improvement projects, many of which established newly named spaces 在校园.
• $56.3 million in gifts creating 265 new funds to fortify support for students 和 augment resources for programmatic 和 教师 development.
• $106.4 million in gifts 和 estate commitments to Susquehanna’s endowment to bolster the university’s financial foundation.   

Alumni获得荣誉

法官 阿比盖尔·迈尔斯01年的乐高 was confirmed as a Delaware Supreme Court justice by the State Senate, after having been nominated by Gov. John Carney to fill a vacancy on the bench. LeGrow had served on the state’s Superior Court since 2016.

Stein fellows intern across three continents

LGBTQ资源中心 offers support

In September, Susquehanna dedicated the LGBTQ资源中心 as an on-campus space w在这里 queer students will feel supported 和 empowered.

Located in the Scholars House 和 adjacent to the Charles B. 德根斯坦校园中心, the center’s creation was due in part to growing dem和 among LGBTQ+-identifying students. 的 center offers LGBTQ+ literature 和 special programming, including mindfulness sessions.

In addition to opening the resource center, Susquehanna also created specialty housing for LGBTQ+ students this year.

Sustainability isn’t just a buzz word at Susquehanna, 2023年, the university embarked on two interesting projects to address energy 和 stream conservation.

With support 和 funding from Susquehanna’s 学生 Government Association 和 the state Department of Environmental Protection’s Driving PA Forward program, the university installed four publicly accessible Level 2 电动汽车充电器 在校园.

In the first project of its kind in 宾西法尼亚, 教师 和 students constructed beaver dams for stream maintenance at the Center for Environmental Education 和 Research. 的 人工河狸坝 are used to slow water flow 和 trap sediment with the hope that they will help to p牧师ent erosion 和 the flow of sediment downstream to the Susquehanna River 和 ultimately the Chesapeake Bay.

Research spans the sciences 和 humanities

Susquehanna has a long tradition of undergraduate 研究 that not only contributes knowledge to the scientific 和 academic communities, but also provides students with valuable opportunities to participate in this 研究, laying the groundwork for them to enter the workforce or graduate school, 通常作为出版作者.

Susquehanna introduced several to Susquehanna.
